Webinar Series on Excess Heat

Energi

09 Okt 2025

It is often said that the cleanest energy is unused energy. Does that make excess heat the second best? Large amounts of excess heat in society could be utilized more effectively rather than simply being released into the surrounding environment. Exciting developments are happening in this field, and this webinar series will provide insights into how various stakeholders, from different perspectives, can help harness excess heat more efficiently and contribute to a sustainable society.

This time we dive into excess heat and industrial symbiosis. Sharing heat energy is one important aspect of industrial symbiosis. Emma Dalväg at Coest AB and author of the book Symbiosis, will talk about industrial symbiosis and the role of excess heat as an important resource in such an industrial ecosystem. Hugo Wikström at Big Akwa AB will talk about fish farming as part of industrial symbiosis and what role excess heat can play for a sustainable food production. Markus Snellman at Snellman AB will describe how they are working with usage of excess heat.
