We welcome small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Skellefteå region who are curious about how artificial intelligence (AI) can create real value in their business. Join us to gain insights, explore practical examples, and discover opportunities to work with AI – whether you’re just getting started or already on your way.

12:00–13:00 | Inspiration Talk: AI Simulation in Practice

Frank Dignum, Director of the TAIGA AI Network at Umeå University, will present a groundbreaking example of applied AI – the AI simulation at Tomtebostrand. Using advanced models, the project simulates developments and behaviors in complex environments, offering new opportunities for innovative planning and informed decision-making.

13:00–15:00 | Coaching & Workshop: AI Solutions for Your Challenges

Joining Frank are two of his colleagues from TAIGA:

• Dr. Sofia Lund, AI researcher with expertise in health innovation and predictive analytics in care services.

• Dr. Amir Bani, specialist in AI for industrial processes, logistics, and sustainable production.

Together with other participating researchers, they will engage in coaching sessions and dialogues with attendees, focused on real-world business challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Explore how AI can address your specific needs.

• Receive expert feedback on ideas, data, and potential AI applications.

• Identify collaboration opportunities for joint AI-based development projects involving TAIGA researchers.

Who should come

SME, large companies, public sector and civil society. You are either actively looking for partners that could join a project application, or you are looking for fresh perspectives and want to learn more about how AI can apply to different challenges.

How it works

You’re welcome to join just to listen and be inspired, but we strongly encourage you to bring a specific challenge from your organization. This helps ensure that the workshop becomes as relevant and valuable as possible. The more you contribute – the more you gain.

Swedish or English?

The lunch presentation will be conducted in English, but questions from the audience can be in Swedish. The following workshop and coaching session will be mixed, so be prepared to listen to English and if you feel limited to discussing in English, Swedish will work as well.
