Skellefte\u00e5 Co-creation Hub is an innovation project with the aim of creating a neutral arena where authorities, companies, academia, the public sector and civil society can meet to solve societal challenges together. The hub serves as a meeting place to explore, test and develop new ideas and solutions that contribute to sustainable social development.

Background<\/h3>\n

For Norr- and V\u00e4sterbotten, 100,000 new residents are expected to be needed by 2030, which corresponds to an increase of almost 20%. The investment in the green transition amounts to nearly 1,000 billion in the area and the cities are facing a societal transformation that has not been seen before in Swedish history. For the public sector, this also means new challenges that require new ways of working and fast, efficient and effective collaboration. The need for a neutral place for learning, exchange of experiences, networking and knowledge sharing then becomes important.<\/p>\n

The project is based on experiences from Samverket in Stockholm and \u00d6stersund as well as the lessons learned from Vinnova’s preliminary study on collaboration hubs in northern Sweden. By applying a proven playbook, we strive to strengthen the collaboration and innovation capacity of all parties involved.<\/p>\n

Purpose<\/h3>\n

The project aims to create a neutral place in Skellefte\u00e5 where different sectors \u2013 public sector, authorities, academia, business and civil society \u2013 can meet and collaborate on needs-driven challenges. By utilizing open and cross-border innovation processes, the project aims to build a collective intelligence that contributes to increased knowledge, insights and innovative solutions for sustainable social development.<\/p>\n

Objectives<\/h3>\n

The project aims to develop a new innovative meeting place and a network where new ideas and solutions can be conceptualized, tested and implemented. This will be done through a needs-driven approach that focuses on identifying and addressing current societal challenges, especially with a focus on the green transition.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
